Blocks

The Trip Around the World includes Paris, Sydney, London, San Francisco and many more exciting cities.  Each month you will receive a block with the city name and landmark machine embroidered on the block.  In the class, instruction on the techniques will be demonstrated and then there will be class time to complete the block using supplies that will be provided.  An equipment list will be available each month for items such as sewing machine, scissors, etc necessary to bring to class.

We will be starting with the Sydney block, which will come with the opera house embroidered on it.  Our techniques for this first month will be use of wash-out applique sheets, monofilament thread for machine applique , and working with silk.

This month we will need one sewing machine for every 2 people, so bring your machine if you can, but don't worry about it if you can't.  Bring scissors and small sea-colored scraps of fabric to share.

Parking is available for 2 hours on the street on Friday and unlimited time on Saturday.  There is unlimited time parking on the corner of Court and college.

I have emailed the class lists and times to all who have signed up.  If you have not heard from me it is because I do not have contact information for you.  Please email me if you have not been contacted, but are still interested.
